Hi, I'm Zétény! From a very young age I had a passion for telling stories, but it took me a while to find my way into filmmaking.

See, the problem was that I was interested in so much more. Natural sciences, history, engineering — you name it. I had an unwavering curiosity that kept leading me from one thing to the next.

During my teenage years I took up filmmaking as a hobby, gradually making my way up to putting together a feature film with my friends. That pretty much settled it.

For a while, I fancied the idea of  directing as a profession, but eventually arrived at the synthesis of art and science: post-production — a field that requires technical proficiency just as much as a creative drive.

I went on to study editing at an MA level course while simultaneously learning VFX by myself. Today, those are the fields I’ve built my career around.

I've also been teaching both editing and visual effects at Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) on and off for the past four years. Working with students is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love finding ways to shape my lessons so they can get as much out of them as possible.
