Dance / Music Videos

Not something that I make often, but I do appreciate the opportunity when it comes.

I find a music video a particularly interesting genre, as it's level of abstraction can vary from basically a recording of a garage session to a whole story, even independet of that of the song itself.

And given that motion itself is a central concept in filmmaking, dance as an artform I feel like is closely related. Whenever I'm making a dance video, I try to achieve a synergy between the flow of the edit and the movement of the artist.
